Polypropylene (PP) Cartridge Filters are widely used in water treatment, air purification, and chemical filtration. MERV 1-4 is suitable for residential and low-demand commercial environments, primarily capturing large particles like dust; MERV 5-8 is used in ordinary homes and offices, removing medium-sized particles like pollen; MERV 9-12 is appropriate for hospitals, laboratories, and other high-demand environments, capturing bacteria, mold, etc.; MERV 13-16 is for clean rooms and high-standard laboratories, removing almost all small particles, including viruses. When selecting the appropriate MERV rating, it's important to balance filtration efficiency and airflow to avoid overburdening the system.
